Royal Borough Celebrations 04 Feb 2012
To celebrate the creation of a new Royal Borough there will be public events. In Eltham there will be:

All day: the Letters Patent will be on display at the Eltham Centre with entertainment

10am-2pm At Eltham Palace - historical re-enactments, entertainers, Minstrel and Military musicians

2pm Planting of a Black Poplar in Well Hall Pleasaunce (changed from 11am)

5-6.30pm Fireworks with music at the Tudor Barn: entertainment starts at 5pm with fireworks from 6pm

Events also in Woolwich on Friday 3rd and in Greenwich on Sunday 5th - see www.greenwich.gov.uk

Launch and talk on the book "The Nitrate King" 13 Feb 2012
The book "The Nitrate King: A Biography of 'Colonel' John Thomas North" is being launched with a talk by the author William Edmundson.
